We hope you are enjoying your well deserved holiday and had fun hunting Easter eggs! You probably guessed it, the topic of today’s article is Easter!

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself how Easter is commemorated in Hungary? “According to an old Hungarian tradition, young men pour water on young women, who give them beautifully coloured eggs in exchange.” Who knew?!

Last week, Catholic Christians all over the world were celebrating Easter Sunday, praising the resurrection of Jesus.

The Guardian photographed celebrations all of the world, assembling them in a striking picture reportage. While all Christians believe in the same religion, it is interesting to see the diversity of cultures and traditions surrounding this celebration. With an increasing multiculturality all over the world, it is important to be aware of how this holiday is celebrated and to respect all traditions equally.

And as a famous proverb states, a picture says more than a thousand words. Go check them out below!
